Farewell Video

                                           https://vimeo.com/126627371

Our video theme is an accumulation of videos from junior year until now. It was bitter sweet and left us in awh of how much we've grown up together and how much things have change. It was because of the video, we looked at the good side of our RCHS experience rather than the difficult aspects. Both my partner, Sosena, and I had the responsibility of finding videos and pictures then adding and editing it into the video. The most difficult part of the project was having to redo the video multiple times because we kept on losing everything. The easiest part was finding videos and adding them to the video.

My Poster

The poster that I made in January term portrays defenseless children from the middle east holding up pictures they drew from their experiences. I found that the three children spoke volumes about my capstone which is about Art Therapy and they are the key subjects of my poster. Unfortunately, I can not find a background that will best support them. Another characteristic I do not like about my poster is how there isn't a specific color scheme or how the colors do not blend in together. The children look like they were Photoshopped into the background instead of it all look like a poster where everything matches.  Besides those points, I like how my poster shows a different side of art therapy.

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

The goal of my project is to have Art Therapy for abused or neglected children instead of the traditional therapy. This way, children can express what he/she is going through without being afraid of the repercussions. Art therapy is important because children can express how they feel without saying a word. We should care because these kids might be hiding that they are being abused and that can lead to their death. If the traditional therapy isn't working, art therapy would. I attend my future career to be a kindergarten teacher. My project gives back to society because it raises awareness about abused/neglected children and it provides a way to affectingly help them.
